I have just bought a bag of Garvo Alphamix, it does seem a tad expensive compared to other feeds. Has anyone used this and did you find it beneficial?

I used it for some specialist chicks and I don't think it's worth the money. I found the chicks would only eat certain components and left the rest and ordinary chick meal was just as good and much less wasteful.

I've never seen this stuff in the flesh. If you could put some in a dish and post a close up pic that would be great.

Just googled this product for adult hens and discovered that apart from costing £19.95 for 12.5kg it contains dried lobster. What planet?

Hen-gen, it didn't cost as much as THAT, did you google " most expensive alfamix in the UK",do you really need to see a picture? If you can imagine the equivalent of a Heston Blumenthal starter, followed by a Simon Rogan main couse and a Roux Bros inspired dessert all in a chicken formulated feed then that will do for your pic.
I will let you know how good/bad/indifferent the eggs taste.

Gosh, sounds expensive stuff. We only have adult hens and paying £8 for layers pellets at the moment.
