We just accidentally acquired some cayuga ducks today :twisted:

These are they!

(The girls are called Evamene & Wanda - a prize to anyone who can work out the boys name

Not yet - they've only moved in about an hour ago, and just getting settled. They've not discovered their bath yet

They certainly looked it at the farm where we collected them from, and it was fairly overcast when we got there!

We were very lucky not to fill the car... Elizabet had goats, large (eating) rabbits, Swedish Yellow Ducks, Swedish Blue Ducks, East India Ducks, Columbian Brahma, Light Sussex, Guinea Fowl, Buff Orps, Phoenix Fowl, Copper Black Maran, Salmon Faverolle, lots of bantams of various sorts, dormice, Egyptian hedgehogs, pygmy mice, ferrets (which stud at 2 500 SEK / £200 a time!)........

odd .on monday at the poultry club show cayugas ducks looked so very dark blue rather than green.....as a non duck man which is the right colour?

Everything we've ever read and seen has had them beetle green.

they must have mislabelled them at the show............these were the same shape but a deep navy blue with iridesance blue sheen
