Re: Ixworth
I am interested in getting some Ixworths I'm in Gwynedd, North Wales, does anyone know of a supplier in my area? Unfortunately I sold my incubators because I wasn't going to hatch any more!
So although I have got a local supplier of hatching eggs, they don't supply young stock!
Mind you I may go and beg a little.
thanks a lot

Re: Ixworth
Too late for your visit Tuzo2k, but my two Ixworths came from Michael Faiers near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. He has some very fine birds across a range of ages and breeds and would probably supply you with eggs for hatching. He can be contacted on +44 (0)7932 163017, Stirling House Station Hill Little Welnetham Bury St. Edmunds IP30 0DT. You can see his farm on Google Earth!

Re: Ixworth
I've been keeping an eye on your Ixworths, Tweedy, but didn't know they'd hatched. They have a very distinctive appearance. They're one breed that I'm seriously thinking of trying. What was your percentage hatch at this late stage in the year? I'm thinking of getting some eggs when I'm in NI at the end of October, but don't know whether it's worth it?
But like someone said, If only they weren't white!

Personally i quite like white birds but i also like black ones too. I set 8 eggs and all 8 hatched. Super meat bird and good layer too.

That's amazing. Where did you get them from? Or is it a secret? I'll be in Worcestershire before Northern Ireland at the end of October.

I'm checking fertility for a friend in cornwall and as you can see hes definately fertile. I can ask him if he will have some if you like.
