Help with the breed (pic heavy)

Post by Wozza1985 » 07 Aug 2018, 20:11

Hi. I have just rescued (more hens) from somebody who no longer wants them :angryfire: i need to stop looking at local adverts as recently that’s all I’m seeing! Oh well they will live a happy life now in my back garden with my other hens. All the guy said they were 15 months old but was unsure of breed?
What breed are they?

Thank you

My guess they are Welsummer or Welsummer cross. Should have yellow legs but it may be the photos not doing them justice.

They lay dark brown eggs.

Hi and thank you. After checking lots of pics on google they very much look like Welsummer’s. The exact same colours but not got yellow legs?

Do some Welsummer’s not have yellow legs?
Large birds they are

The breed standard is for yellow legs & feet.

Maybe they're a X-breed?
